Abby Mae and the Homeschool Boys
Born out of friendship & youthful exuberance, Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys combines the timeless traditions of "Ol' Timey" music with Gaelic, Blues, & Gospel. Silly sultry, spiritual, and heartbreaking, the band has been wowing packed audiences wherever they play.
Recently riding on the success of 'EP1', Abby & the Boys released their first record titled, "Wade in the Water" in June 2011. With the help of Dungeness Records & Jason Mogi, the album contains the classic foot-stompin', down-homey sound that makes Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys so delicious.

Swamp blues, sometimes called "the Excello sound",
is a sub-genre of blues music and a variation of Louisiana blues that developed
around Baton Rouge in the 1950s. It generally has a slow tempo and incorporates
influences from other genres of music, particularly the regional styles of
zydeco and Cajun music. Its most successful proponents included Slim Harpo
and Lightnin' Slim, who enjoyed a number of rhythm and blues and national hits
and whose work was frequently covered by bands of the British Invasion.
The name, The Excellos, comes from a record label of the genre. Excello Records was an American blues record label, started by Ernie Young in Nashville, Tennessee in 1953 as a subsidiary of Nashboro, a gospel label. It recorded such artists as Lonnie Brooks, Lightnin' Slim, Slim Harpo, Charles Sheffield, Roscoe Shelton, Lazy Lester, the Kelly Brothers, Lonesome Sundown, Martin Luther King, Silas Hogan, Arthur Gunter, Carol Fran, and Maceo & All The King's Men.

Cat Loves Crow
Joe and Karena Prater performing folk, old-time, and bluegrass.
Joe and Karena Prater began performing together in 1998 out of
a shared passion for harmony singing and old-time country and bluegrass music.
Since then, these two versatile singers, instrumentalists, and songwriters
have developed a wide-ranging repertoire of original, traditional, and even
Russian songs, all featuring their distinctive harmony vocals accompanied by

Together, they have headlined at the Tumbleweed Music Festival, and have appeared

The Gloria Darlings (now a trio !)
The Gloria Darlings are a Seattle-based female indie-folk-grass trio. An innovative string band like nothing ever seen or heard, they sing bright, vibrant, vocal harmonies to a one-of-a-kind courting dulcimer (one instrument two gals play at the same time)! These young ladies are multi-instrumentalists: fiddle, guitar, mountain dulcimer, and bass. Often-called sirens, their catchy original tunes weave through the crowd. The percussive nature of the dulcimer and tour de force harmony get every crowd smiling, singing along and toe tapping.
Their deep well of repertoire is full of original tunes, traditionals, and folksy renditions of popular song. Influences include Joni Mitchell, The Carter Family, Phil Ochs and Madonna. The Gloria Darlings appear frequently at folk festivals and venues from Eugene to Bellingham, sing backups for Northwest folk legend Linda Waterfall, and perform regularly at the center of the universe, Seattle’s Pike Place Market. A unique little act with a big crowd-pleasing sound!

And they are proficient on Appalachian dulcimer, guitar, autoharp, mandolin,
and fiddle. As an added bonus they play the very rare "courting dulcimer" which
is played by two players at the same time, see photo.
